Choice Circles

Choice Circles

Choice Circles is being formed to offer a space for anyone who wants to cultivate more compassion for themselves and others. In our increasingly busy and chaotic lives, we can often find ourselves feeling anxious, worn out, and ground-down. Practicing compassion is our antidote – helping to generate a sense of warmth, wellbeing, and joy.

Join us for our first meeting where we will talk about the kind of practices we will be doing every month and how we can support each other to feel more compassion in our lives.

Change happens when we come together!

By connecting, sharing and supporting one another, we can change the way we feel about ourselves, each other, our community and the world around us

As human beings we have evolved by coming together with kindness, care and compassion for one another.

And, although we see compassionate action in times of crisis and disasters across the world, we see barriers to compassion within our day-to-day relationships – contributing to epidemic proportions of our populations experiencing loneliness, anxiety and depression.

So, the challenge for all of us is, how do we find our way back to connection, care and compassion – where we think about our relationships – not just about ourselves – but for the people around us.

How do we find our way back to connection, care and compassion?

The science tells us that connected, caring and compassionate relationships are essential for our wellbeing and our mental and physical health.

What is a Compassion Circle?

They are simply a group of people coming together, either online or face-to-face, and they provide information about compassion and the benefits of it for our humanity.

What is the purpose of a Compassion Circle?

Compassions Circles are an initiative of the Global Compassion Coalition, and they are designed as a way of helping to create communities of compassion through connection, practice and support.

Compassion Circles help us to feel and cultivate compassion through inner reflection, empathic listening and connection. They offer an opportunity to get different perspectives, experiences, emotions and through that we expand our moral circles and gain an even greater understanding of other people.

Compassion Circles help us to dissolve the barriers to compassion by opening our hearts and minds, and to helping others to open their hearts and minds so that we can all feel the benefits of compassion.

The Global Compassion Coalition

The Global Compassion Coalition is a movement of compassion researchers, trainers and activists working together to spread compassionate thinking, feeling and action.
