C.H.O.I.C.E. Common Humanity of Inclusion, Compassion & Empowerment |
while
Taking Charge of Our Lives
Although we see compassionate action in times of crisis and disasters across the world, we see barriers to compassion in our day-to-day relationships. The populations within our communities are experiencing epidemic proportions of loneliness, anxiety and depression.
So, the challenge for each of us is, how do we find our way back to connection, care and compassion – not just for ourselves – but for the people around us.
The science tells us that connected, caring and compassionate relationships are essential for our wellbeing and our mental and physical health.
So, the topics we will be discussing during our C.H.O.I.C.E. Compassion Circles are aimed to help members of our communities work together to create opportunities and networks for social connections and dissolve the barriers to compassion.
We aim to increase and strengthen our relationships with each other, offer support to those who want and need it, and to help everyone in our community feel emotionally safe, more connected, and valued members of our community.
Let’s do it Together!
We provide tools and strategies to help foster connected, caring, and compassionate relationships for everyone’s wellbeing by:
- Understanding our Common Humanity
- Exploring our Wants and Needs
- Driving our ‘Tricky Brain’
- Creating Connected, Caring and Compassionate Relationships
- Learning Skills for Self-reflection
- Expanding our Moral Circles
What will we learn?
- To embrace our common humanity, recognise the struggles we all face and work together to create a more inclusive, compassionate and empowered society.
- To understand our basic motivations and the motivations for change
- To develop the courage to make the change for a better life for you and our world.
- To create behaviours that help us generate more positive emotions.
- To develop a compassionate way of life.
- To commit to weaving this mindset into the fabric of our daily life.
- To create a meaningful difference in our lives and the lives of individuals and the broader society
- To create greater empathy and understanding in our communities
- To create environments where everyone feels valued, supported and where mental health and well-being are prioritised.
